I have spent countless hours researching and working with manufacturers to find the absolute best quality carbon at the best prices. I’ve tested these rims in numerous applications to refine the carbon offerings I wanted to represent, and bring to you. I paid extra attention to build quality, and attention to details from the manufacturer. In my search for manufacturers, I came to find, that some of the best carbon products were coming out of China, and to a lesser extent Taiwan. They have simply improved their processes and are using better materials than ever before. This is where 95% of the carbon fiber products in the bike industry come from, and there’s a lot to filter through. I was looking for a manufacturer that was looking to provide a better product, and one that wasn’t cutting corners in materials, layup, curing processes, and finishing processes. Stoic Carbon is hand laid with high grade Japanese Toray T700 and T800 fibers, to a flatness tolerance of less than .15mm and a roundness tolerance of less than .2mm you can rest assured that the quality of these rims matches or exceeds the quality of more expensive rims on the market.

Recommended tire size: 30-55 Max tire pressure: 85psi

Delta-Used to represent infinitesimal changes. With this rim, there are no limits. Just Kidding, there are some, but not many. At 25mm hooked internal, this rim will handle both of your high pressure/low volume or low pressure high volume tires just fine. Throw some 30mm tires on them, and head out on the road, or throw some big 55’s on them and get out of town. With all those choices, the places you can ride them are infinite.

PSI-Represents the wave function in quantum mechanics. It can be used to calculate the probability of finding a particle in a specific region of space. What does that have to do with bikes? I don’t know, but I do know that the Blacktop line of rims will help you quickly find yourself in whatever specific region of space you choose. Also, its PSI, and the Blacktop rims are designed for a lot of them. The 45 is specifically designed for an aero advantage, without too much of a weight penalty. With a 21mm inner these rims will handle a tire from 25 up to 48mm, but it’s more optimal at 42 and below. If you want more, you should just get the Drifter rim.

PI-Represents a constant value, and you can’t determine the volume of your tires without it. Whatever. That doesn’t matter. What does matter is that your tires have it. A decent amount of it. The Volstagg is a 25mm internal hookless rim, and designed for larger tires, and lower pressures. Preferably under 60. This is the rim for you if you plan to keep the tires to the larger side of the spectrum. They like anything from 42 on up to some hefty 2.3” I run a few sets of these, and love them with 48’s.

Both Rims ideally suited for 2.0” up to 2.6” tires

Eta-Used in thermodynamics to represent efficiency. This isn’t thermodynamics, but efficiency is important nonetheless. These rims are designed for XC/Trail, and light enough for racing. If you wanna huck and smash, step it up to the BLZBUB, these are for fast. That doesn’t mean they won’t take a hit though. I run these, and I have certainly run them into some rocks on occasion. The front rim is designed to be slightly lighter. Both rims are 35mm external and 25mm height, but the rear rim has a 29mm internal while the front has 30mm. The front doesn’t need to be as beefy as the rear, so might as well drop weight where we can right?

Zeta-Represents quantity of angular jerk when discussing rotational motion. Angular jerk describes how quickly angular acceleration changes. I think. I’m not a physicist, and you probably aren’t either. Who cares. Ride your bike. These rims can help you do that with confidence. Stoic BLZBUB Carbon Rims are designed to be more balanced for the rougher stuff. 30/36 int/ext front rim, and a burlier 30/38 int/ext rear are built to encourage trust in the gnarliest terrain, and are designed to complement tubeless tires up to 2.7” The thicker rim walls of the rear rim are able to absorb impacts that would put dents in even the best aluminum. 4 directional CNC drilling and and an asymmetric design allow straighter bracing angles and more even tension, creating a much stronger wheel overall. Angled bead seat design helps with tubeless set up, and helps to prevent burping while riding. Carbon fiber rims are a real option, and now they’re not as far out of reach as you may have thought. All of the Stoic Carbon lineups are built to a minimum of 5% tension variance, and will only be built with the best materials and designs.
